Lost Creek Winery
Lost Creek's wines are predominantly produced from fruit grown on our Meridian Ridge Vineyard, a 5-acre vineyard nestled along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Bluemont, Virginia. In operation since 2012, we set out in 2017 to find a new, premier property to grow high-end red wines. We worked with a geologist to help us identify the best soils. We didn’t want to wait for land to come up for sale. We wanted to knock on people’s doors who had the land perfect for a high quality vineyard. Through that search we found Meridian Ridge. It was planted in 2017 with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Tannat. The “Mountain” as we fondly call it, ripens and expresses fruit that we rarely see in Virginia, producing red wines with a balance of elegance and power.
