Nestled in Catoctin Valley between the Short Hill and Furnace Mountains, Domaine Fortier is a boutique winery focused on small lot hand-crafted high quality wines. The 34 acre property is located in Lovettsville, Virginia with 10 acres planted with predominately Vitis vinifera varietals.

Meet the winemaker:

Stephen Fortier

Stephen leads the effort in the vineyard and is the winemaker. He has a certificate in enology from UC Davis, a WSET 2 certification, and his doctorate in systems engineering and undergraduate minor in chemistry contributes to his winemaking skills. He knows that great wines start in the vineyard and he fully supports sustainable farming practices.
